add a serial port to the menu?

hi,
i'm using processing on linux (fedora core 2). in trying to set up a serial device (a basic stamp 2), i'm having trouble.
in the PBASIC editor i'm using (downloaded from http://www.parallax.com/html_pages/downloads/software/software_basic_sta mp.asp, i had to change the port that it was trying to download to from /dev/ttySO to /dev/pts/2. The program then downloaded great.
Now i need to have processing talk to /dev/pts/2 as well, but it doesn't show up in menu/Sketch/Serial Port/. Is there a way to manually add it to the list?
