need urgent help - keyspan with macosx

I can't communicate with my bx24 thru the serial port. I installed the keyspan driver and after running my processing application I've got an error saying that the port is already in use. I then installed the rxtx driver, and now the serial menu in proce55ing is grayed out. Help! Thanks in andvance, Cesare

dont know if the infomation will help you. but i am working with a noname usb-serial-adapter with a prolific driver. it works in java with rxtx and proce55ing: http://tech.prolific.com.tw/ do you see your driver in /dev/tty.usbserial0 for example?

Ok, I forgot to say that I installed rxtx from an alternative (easier) distribution. Can't remember where I've got it. It seems that my dev tools are not properly working. Can't use ./configure for instance. The ports are available from the network preferences but in proce55ing the menu is now grayed out. To make things worse I don't know if my cable is a serial or a printer one. I think I'll open the keyspan adapter and bring the wires I need outside. Still in trouble. Thanks, Cesare
