brain waves?
« on: Oct 22nd, 2003, 9:11pm »

Is it possible/practical to set up some sort of brain activity sensor connected to Proce55ing?

I thought it would be neat to see one's thoughts displayed as a colorful pattern on the screen. It wouldn't really have to interpret the data.

ehh,, i guess its possible
- do you have this "brain activity sensor", and if so, can you provide a bit data/information about it.

proce55ing is limited to tangible computing in a the world of serial communication, if you can have that brain-activity sensor either spit out a number (level of activity) through a serial cable directly or have it produce an analogue signal - which can be read with a PIC / BasicStamp or similar microController, and then have the microController send the data to Proce55ing through a serial cable.

anyway, check out this 'BRAIN BALL' project:

...maybe you can find some information on the 'brain activity sensor' in their documentation.
