webcam-fun - part 1
« on: Sep 22nd, 2003, 2:26am »

(3D transparent realtime (web)cam projection.)

After getting my web-cam running using the advice of;
mKoser: Paranoid Eye ... video mosaic
http://proce55ing.net/discourse/yabb/board_Contribution_Info_ac_tion_display_num_1061595117.html

My pde-source (version 0059);
http://www.xs4all.nl/~elout/proce55ing/cam3d02/cam3d02.pde

Further it needs an (empty) 'texture' image, put it in your data directory;
http://www.xs4all.nl/~elout/proce55ing/cam3d02/image128.gif

You can use the arrow keys up/down to zoom in/out.

(And I`m still confused, if this is the right place to place a web-cam topic)

Well, after some attempts I suceeded in making processing work with my webcam thanks to the different posts out there.

Elout, may be you would be interested in trying http://www.ims.tuwien.ac.at/~thomas/dsvideolib.php , a lib written in c++ which allows you to manipulate (among other things) webcam frames as openGL textures. This is quite great
