Satellite configurations

My first code on processing! The system finds a configuration, sticks with it for a while, then cycles through previous configurations before finding a new one... The longer it runs, the more configurations it accumulates to cycle through during it's 'hunting' stage, and the longer it sticks on the configuration it finds. I haven't understood lighting properly yet, but I still like the effect. http://processing.times-new-roman.com/strip_05a/

mmm, yeah. reminds me of the autechre "gantz graf" video (or whatever the title was, I'm typing out the top of my head here) created by Alexander Rutterford(i think). If you haven't seen that video, you should do...
