P5 won't launch in Windows ME

I simply can't run p5-0043 on Windows ME. I get the following alert when I try to launch: Proce55ing has caused an error in <unknown> Proce55ing will now close. + restarting does not help...

ugh.. 95 / 98 / ME are just plain worthless, it would seem. might be easier for me to send you a win2k install cd than fix this one has anyone else been able to run p5 under windows ME? (or tried to and found the same or similar problem?) is run.bat included with your release? you might try to open up a command prompt, cd to the p5 directory, and type 'run' to see if that works better. it sounds like the c launcher app is having trouble.

that works - executing run.bat is no trouble at all
