A problem starting it on account of Quicktime...

I was just having trouble running 'Processing' for the first time, as it was telling me that Quicktime's Java was not installed. I run Windows 2000 with both j2sdk1.4.2 and jdk1.1.8 installed, as well as the latest Quicktime 6. I installed the Java with the custom installation feature as recommended, but it didn't work, so I uninstalled all of QT, then reinstalled it. Still didn't work. Not exactly a bug or bug fix, at least none that anyone <I>here</I> is responsible for, but it might be considered for adding into any future troubleshooting or tutorials for anyone whom experiences the same problem: I eventually found that Quicktime had modifed the environment variable QTJAVA from "C:\jdk1.1.8" to "C:\jdk1.1.8C:\WINNT\system32\QTJava.zip" Which of course was the problem, as it lacked the necessary semicolon to differentiate the two (can there be more than one path location for QTjava? I simply removed the first directory) So, as I said, might be something of interest in troubleshooting for people whom have sdk1.1.8 installed and get the error that Quicktime Java cannot be found.

yeah, unfortunately it's not really our bug but it's something we'll have to work around, so it becomes our bug turns out a similar thing happens when no java has been installed (no java is necessary to run p5, since it's included) but qtjava has been installed. in either case, we're working on a fix.
