My audio sampler uses 500MB and climbs up to 800MB. Not great for the 4GB RAM computer it's supposed to run on.
Any generalized tips about programming in a ram friendly way? I'm new to this and everything I look up is in regard to other languages.
Is this minim based?
A lot of optimization is very specific to what you are trying to do -- for example, minim Sampler has some specific settings to manage how resource intensive it is, like setting the number of voices and the sample rate, and you can also use mono audio (if that is an option, depending on your use case), et cetera.
