Get data from AppleScript to Processing

Hi there, I'd like to use an AppleScript to send Processing the number of unread mails (Mail on macOS Sierra).

The main goal will be to see the number of unread mails on a display driven by an Arduino uno. I managed to send data from processing to arduino but I'm missing the link between processing and appleScript.

Or is there another solution to get the information of unread mails into processing?

@entspannt -- here are some of the possible ways:

1. Use the AppleScript to update a text file containing a number. Check the file with the Processing sketch and load the number.
2. Use the AppleScript to call sendOSC (need to install), use that to generate an OSC message. Receive the message and process it using the Processing OSC library. 3. Use AppleScript to contact a local server -- set up the server with the Processing Network Library.
