Change .OBJ Color to Correspond With the Background?

edited April 2015 in How To...

So after trying many different approaches, I can't seem to find a way to alter the color of a .obj to correspond with the background. I have attempted to use tint(), I have tried saving the screen as an image and overlaying the image and tinting that (it ends up ignoring the .obj in the screenshot), and finally I tried simply putting a rect with low opacity over the .obj, but the .obj continues to come out on top. Nothing has ended up working. Any other ideas? It looks like you can't simply change the fill of a .obj, but I may be wrong and just don't know how to write it properly. Thank you for any help!
