That library is no longer maintained. I would suggest you to try the javacvPro library which is based on the latest version of OpenCV (2.3.1). Andres has mentioned and appreciated this library on his blog too. As for setting up OpenCV 2.3.1, if you're running Windows, check out my blog. I've written a tutorial on setting up OpenCV 2.3.1. You need to follow it till step 2. No need to download and install VC++.

Thank you very much for your answer, but there still seem to be some problems.

I tried to run some examples, but Processing stops at the very first line of the code which tries to create a variable like "opencv = new OpenCV(this);" and it says UnsetisfiedLinkError..

Does that mean that I did something wrong with seting opencv up? I mean, I downloaded and extracted the superpack.exe and a opencv folder was made. I renamed it, as you mentioned in your tutorial, to OpenCV 2.3.1 and ran your helper program to set the environment variables, but it still won't work..

Okay, so the necessary dll files required to run OpenCV are not getting linked.

When using the OpenCV helper, did you select 32-bit or 64? If you selected 64-bit, edit the user environment variable (Path) back to  %OPENCV% \build\ x86\ vc10 \bin   . Similarly edit LIB and INCLUDE and change x64 to x86.Unequal bit-ness is known to cause issues.  

Edit your system environment variable called Path. Append the location of OpenCV's bin folder to it. It must be having some values already, add a semicolon and then the bin folder's path.

Sorry for not answering for a week now, I was out of the country and didn't have much time for forums etc..

I'm really not sure what can I do anymore, I've done everything you said, but I still get the same error. Can you please just show me the values of your system variables and then I'll figure out how to change them?

Also, my OpenCV 2.3.1 directory doesn't have a opencv subdirectory and I have a x86 subdirectory in my build direcotry (which you don't have) so my path for the Path looks like:
C:\ OpenCV 2.3.1\ build\ x86\ vc10\ bin
instead of
C:\ OpenCV-2.3.1\ opencv\ build\ vc10\ bin

I'd really like to understand what exactly does this linking and setting varibales do and then maybe I'll figure out what am I doing wrong..

BTW, what's the difference between the User variables for User and System variables?

I figured it out. I tried installing it on a completely new Windows 7  system. Turns out you need to add the Intel Threaded Build Blocks related dlls as well. Download the latest version of TBB from here. This contains some important dll files needed by javacvPro. 

Extract the zip and copy all .dll files inside / bin / ia32 / vc10 and all .dll files in   / bin / ia32 / vc10 / irml into your  C:\ OpenCV 2.3.1\ build\ x86\ vc10\ bin

Restart processing and all javacvPro examples work like a charm! Here's a screenshot of my OpenCVs bin folder(extra dlls added from tbb):

What is the value of your "path" environment variable?

To see your environment variables, hit Start, type "environment variables", and open user environment variables settings. 

I wrote a step-by-step guide for windows and opencv 2.3.1 with JavaCvPro.

I don't get it: I've been following it very meticulously and tried many many different things but I can't get it to work! :(

I'm using:

• processing 2.03b
• javacvPro-0.5
• jdk-7u7-windows-x64
• OpenCV-2.4.2
• tbb40_20120201oss_win

I moved the dll from TBB from the intel64/VC10 to the x64/VC10/bin of openCV
then I used the OpenCV_Helper using the 64bit option

When I launch any javacvpro example I got the error as if something was missing:

Well it didn't work when I just switched back to processing 1.5.1 but then I switched back to opencv 2.3.1 and that made the trick!

To double the above reply...its true that javaCVPro doesn't seems to worked with OpenCV 2.4.2 however it's working with OpenCV 2.3.1
