How to create a sphere using vertex !

Hey everyone

I m very new to processing and I need to create a sphere using vertex, I can do a circle but not sphere I want be able to texturize it later.

I have checked some of this forum posts about creating spheres but I couldnt understand them , I need a simple code which shows me the way of doign this then I can modify it

there is another example in the tutorial section.
it does exactly what you need.

But is there any article to say how to create a sphere I mean explain it, coz these examples do what I want but I cant understand the way they are creating these spheres

The sphere() creates a sphere. To position to a vertex you use pushMatrix(), translate(), and popMatrix(). Like this...

pushMatrix();
translate(50, 20, 0);
sphere(20);
popMatrix();

Sorry but I have to do it only using opengl and vertex, Im not allowed to use any library

Did you even bother clicking the link?
Because what you have there is not "some library" but rather the processing source code, and more specifically, how processing creates a sphere using vertices. So basically it's exactly what you're looking for.

That's not a library, that's Processing itself. Well, its source code, showing how a sphere is made out of vertices.
