My name is Stine Linnemann and I'm a weaver studying textile design at the Royal College of Art in London. Lately I'm working on a project concerning how to make customizable textile designs. While reading about chaos theory and fractal geometry, I discovered the mandelbrot set and sensed an opportunity. Now I've been exploring the realms of Processing, which was recommended to me by a friend, and have found many wonderful mandelbrot/julia sets and various fractal generators.
So, my question is. Might there be someone interesting in collaborating with me? Basically I'm thinking of using my artistic skills (cough) to create pattern pieces that can then be adjusted by fractals. Also, there is an extra element: I'm a weaver. That means, I work not only in colour and pattern, I also work in materials and structures. I am not sure how, or if it's even possible, but including this in the generator I think could move the thought of fractal generating some a purely digital thing to an actual physical manifestation.
I hope someone might find this an interesting opportunity! If you wish to see a bit of my work to better understand what a weaver can do, please visit my blog:

P.S.: Perhaps it should be emphasized I am working on this as a student, there is no commercial aspect to this. Just an exploration of math meets craft through programming :)
