Basically, if the processing program is supposed to draw sophisticated stuff, my processing output window just shows what was in the background when it first opened up. If I move this window, the picture of the background follows along with it. What is quite odd is that I don't get any error messages what so ever. I tried it with known good examples.
Being very new to Ubuntu, I un-installed Iced Tea java, then downloaded and installed Java JDK. It didn't make any difference. What is very strange is that when I type "java -version" in my terminal window I get this:
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode)
How is this possible if I un-installed IcedTea using the Ubuntu Software Center. Does the Ubuntu Software Center tend to lie to the users? that is, when u uninstall something does it trick you into believing that it did so but it really didn't? How do I really get rid off the IcedTea6 java stuff?
