I saw in a post on the old forums that the current Quicktime for Java-based video library is going to be abandoned for an alternative this summer. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what this new library might be based on?

I was thinking OpenCV 2 could be a could starting point since it has some improvements over version 1 and there is no current implementation for it in Processing. openFrameworks has limited support but it's still in the very early stages, and even OpenCV 1 has only partial support in Processing right now.

Perhaps we can get some other suggestions on what library to use for this?
