This is a very simple Processing sketch to visualize the sea-air CO2 flux in the Bay of Biscay (NorthEast Altantic Ocean). Data come from an annual sampling along the route from the ports of Vigo (Spain) to Saint Nazaire (France), performed on the RO-RO ship that transported Citröen cars from/to the factory in Vigo. The estimation requires, apart from the analytic sampling made on board, to take wind speed data from a meteorological model...and the selection of the model is critical in the estimation.
Here you can find a Processing sketch tha plots the ocean surface drift forecast for the next 3 days, based on ocean model currents and meteorological forcing. It is useful to predict oil spill drift or just material trapped near the surface. This is an example of how Processing can help Operational Oceanography ;-)
It takes a little bit to load the applet.
Hi, here there is a simple tool to visualize the avoided costs by a Pharmacist integrated in the team of the Emergency Department of a Hospital. The web explains more about data and the aim of this tool.
