Anyone know processing for Windows? I love computer science with a passion, but for same reason my computer doesn't read .zip files (from my professor's site) and it doesn't send my data whenever I compress a file that worked fine on my computer. (Correction it SENDS my data, but doesn't READ my data as if it is actually there). I have the 1.5 version of processing because my professor said less bugs. I pray I'm doing something wrong and it's not my computer. Thanks in advance :)
EXAMPLE:
"You're tricky, but not tricky enough"
lab1UsingVars.jar is not a valid name for a sketch. Better to stick to ASCII, no spaces, and make sure it doesn't start with a number. "
Even though there is nothing wrong with the name of it.... I don't understand what is going on and why it can't open a .jar file.
The data one:
It came out beautiful when it was in regular standard .pde form on my computer, but when I compressed it it couldn't read the data that was already there.
The font error:
It says "Could not load font BellMTItalic-48.vlw. Make sure that the font has been copied to the data folder of your sketch."
Which I already did on the standard version.
"NullPointerException" occurred for my image that I already added to the data.
And don't even get me started when I tried to make a .jar file. That couldn't be done at all.
Any ideas what is going on?
I just got this computer. It is an HP Pavilion g6 computer. Windows 8. I was having the same kind of problem with my other HP little netbook and that was one of the reasons I bought this new computer. I love computer science but this is not fun at all.
