help with visualising spectogram

Hi,

I want a sketch which can analyse the dominant frequency band of a sound. So for example, with a kick drum it would analyse all the frequencies and tell me the low frequencies are the loudest in the spectrum. At the moment I have got a spectogram, but it shows all frequencies. How can I adapt this so it tells me which band has the most gain in it please?

hi,

I'm planning on making a sketch where a user presses y if something is true and n if false. I need to be able to check their responses later after the sketch has been saved and closed. Is there a way of saving responses (without it showing visually on the screen)?

i'm trying to get an ellipse's radius to increase.decrease according to the amplitude of an audio file. I have found this example in minim, which uses BeatDetect. Will modifying this example work, or should i use some sort of Fourier transform to get the ampiltude of the audio?

I am trying to modify a live input example so that volume of mySample is used to fill the rectangle. It doesn't seem to work though; does anyone know if the getVolume() is able to be used as i'm wanting? (have checked reference..)

I dont really understand why this code is neccessary ; (i've looked at docs, but doesnt yet make sense to me);

have looked at beads docs for biquad constructor summary, but cant seem to find info on adding gain argument (so i can boost freq) I can see frequency and bandwidth, as in this example.

BiquadFilter ( AudioContext context, int itype, float ifreq, float iqval)

any quick fix on the fader ellipse relationship in this patch?

When the fader goes down, the ellipse goes up and visa versa.. any ideas how to switch this?

In Krister.ess reference, bandpass has the following constructors;

'BandPass(frequency, gain, q)'

Is it possible to map the gain to mouseY coordinates so that gain

can be controlled in real time?
