sneaking generative artwork into a pdf

Hi,

I'm asked to contribute to a book presenting my work. Basically they ask a two page spread indesign file or pdf.

Does anybody know a way of embedding a generative piece of code into a pdf, so every time its printed it will come out differently?

I was looking into postscript but haven't realy got it woking. Would .eps or .svg be an option?

using scanner via TWAIN wrapper without GUI

Hey,

I''ve managed to use a scanner directly from processing using a java TWAIN wrapper that could be found here:

http://www.mms-computing.co.uk/

But it seems to have been taken offline.

I can scan an image using the code found here: http://www.introspector.be/store/scannerTest.zip , but it will show the GUI of the scanner.

Does anybody know a way to disable the GUI while scanning with TWAIN?
