I'm wiiling to show some pictures I've done. I'd like the kinect to recognize when somebody is in front of the screen so the picture would be displayed through the silhouette.

It's pretty easy to get the silhouette according to the depth map parameters on shiffman.kinect.*

...But I'm confused on displaying pixels one by one (updating them etc) so here is my start, hope you can bring some enlightment

Hello All,

I have a picture with squares, same centered circle,, split with lines, making black and white contrast etc

I'd like to pick up the black or white zone, and use them as mask for loading photos through it. That would be the same as the magic wand in photoshop.

Do you think ther's a way to handle it?

I'd like to be able to have a transition between two images. I'm using masks at the moment, but is there a better way? Id like to Load the pixels with the alpha channel ... but I dont know how to set the alpha parameter.. what the range of values?

I'd like to start working on live video stream, and mix with a kinect. if there might be different combinations allowed, but I want to know either there are some steps that are forbidden.

eg opencv : I get an error "

 it seems something is messing with the resources directory, or maybe the 64 vs 32 bit running?(... still it seems to work as images are displayed)

I havent wired my kinect yet... and oh, I'm working with snow leopard.

any recommandations?

I'm trying to sort files in the data folder regarding their size. I made a list from a java function which has a filter (regarding file type for example ".jpg") and stores the list in a string[] (called fileList[])

I'm loading this file into a Pimage so I can acces its width and height and really sort comparin my sketch size

I'm doing this

should be

I put them in the library folder

I restarted processing and my SnowLeopard macbookpro.

I'm working on a sketch that has different functions and I'd like to organize my code, with one file (pde or else) for each function
...Can somebody tell me what's the way of doing that?
If I work with class, should I write down a reference to the class in the main sketch, or putting them in the same folder would be enough?

 it used to work, but now

I'm looknig for cutting an image into regularpieces. I figured I could have 2 loops going through the image and extract regular size defined pieces, then save them...

here's the challenge
a 500x500px picture cut in 10x10 pieces


cannot figure what's wrong... maybe there's some other and smarter way, with pixel arrays...?

Id like to know one two things to help me getting started.

1- when importing a library, you need to reference it in your sketch. Sometimes you can see some words around the real name of the library (for example prefix krister.Ess.*; or suffix traer.physics.*;). I'm asking because I cant figure out the way to make it work. I even renamed the .jar... and still, there "might be missing a library"

2- Where are the font located? I have some fancy fonts in my laptop and id like to have it in the Create font Menu... So where shall I put them?
