just posted the first release of a basic XMPP library called
jabberlib. Basically it's a wrapper around
SMACK API, an
"Open Source XMPP (Jabber) client library for instant messaging and presence". Right now it includes only functionality to talk to XMPP clients like jabber.org and gtalk and the possibility to subscribe to Publish-Subscribe services but more functionality is planed.
