serial library G5 powerpc

Hello, are there errors with using the serial port as an object in processing on a g5 or powerpc driver?

Ive tried to run the same sketch from my intel macbook pro on a G5 and instead of throwing back errors it just says in the console '

' native lib version = RXTX-2.1-7'

'Java lib version = RXTX-2.1-7'

any info would be much appreciated.

hello im trying to scroll some streaming twitter text (sketch using twitter4j lib)

can anyone help me do this?

shall i use a text area / screen text library? i know this is really simple but im running out of time on a tight deadline, so if anyone could show me what to do id be really happy.

Hi everyone , im trying to get my search twitter sketch to repeat it call , call Twitters Api every x amount of seconds.

at the moment its set to rrp(100) which can be changed but i would like to show the amount a certain word is being used. and therefore need to search frequently.

ive seen there is a rule for setSince (date) but i need the sketch to refresh its query. any help for my final project would be fantastic.

hey been using this code to get twitter4j working but keep getting this error saying unexpected character "\" but this character doesn't exist in the code so i don't really get it.
it also says:

Making a line appear slowly so it grows instead of just instantly appearing ?

Hey
I'm trying to work out how i can make a drawing look like its being drawn on the screen instead of just appearing instantly when the sketch runs, can't seem to find the right way to do it, lots of ways to make things move but not to reduce teh speed at which something is drawn. used to using after effects etc and if i was using that i'd draw everything out and then use a mask to reveal the lines that had been drawn. not sure if there is an equivalent or if this is the best way. anyway any help would be really appreciated.

Animating Drawings

hey guys
wanted to create a separate post for this as although its the same sketch as my last post its a completely different query. I made the drawing program below, however instead of the lines simply appearing instantly, i want them all to be drawn as though it were a film of someone drawing them all simultaneously instead of an instant drawing. so that it lasted maybe 5 minutes instead of milliseconds. any help with this would be much appreciated, just not really sure what search terms to use to get anything helpful.

Pausing a for statement until action occurs

hey guys
i making a drawing program and the outcome is exactly how i want it to look, however i want it to be reactive as you can see there are 3 "for" statements one that creates 50 random points, the other 2 create the lines that join the points together, i would like it pause after the first for loop until the mouse is pressed and then having completed the the first set of connecting lines (line 22) which draws 50 lines from the first point to every other point i would like it to pause before it starts drawing lines from the second point to every other point until the mouse is pressed when it would draw 50 lines from the second point to all other points and then pause again until the mouse is pressed. i know i haven't been very clear in this explanation so please ask if anything is unclear. really appreciate any help with this project its my first attempt at writing a sketch from scratch.

Processing Version of Snake

Hey
have started making my first real processing/arduino project, so far i borrowed the source code for an unfinished version of snake and then adapted it to work with arduino so the 2 can talk to each other and the game can be controlled by a physical object thats not a keyboard or mouse. so its all going quite well except that i can't seem to be able to make the snake die, its getting quite messy, because i don't want to hardcode it to say if you hit your tal die for each new segment that is created. so i need to write an algorithm that can work out how many segments the snake is made of and where they all are so that if the head hits one of them it ends the game.
