GSVideo with alpha channel

Hi all.. might be missing something obvious here but please can somebody help me out.
I have a QuickTime video rendered out with an alpha channel.
I'm using GSVideo integrated into MT4j. How do I display the video with the alpha channel - so not on a black background? I've searched this forum and found this thread with no useful replies

png sequence is not really an option I want to explore either. Anybody any great ideas?
