controlIP5 / guicomponents installation problem...

I must be missing something obvious...

Unzip and put the extracted controlP5 folder into the libraries folder of your processing sketches.

Unzip and put the extracted guicomponents folder into the libraries folder of your processing sketches

I put both the controlIp5 folder and the guicomponents folder into (OSX) ~/Documents/Processing/libraries

Now when I open any example .pde files from either folder and try to run them I get an error message that says:

Note that release 1.0, libraries must be installed in a folder named 'libraries' inside the 'sketchbook' folder.

Apparently I did something wrong, but I can't really see what. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
