I use Processing's own IDE for it. Select text code, right-click it and select <Copy as HTML>.

hmmm...i can't seem to get the lines of code to be numbered using that method.

i can however cut and paste the html which is nice!

oh.  no matter.  it appears that even though there is only a 1. in the code block, when you click "copy code" it maintains the carriage returns.  still would be nice for being able to reference specific lines.

could i get some clarification on your terms?

editor:  the text box when you click "reply" or the html editor?
hit insert: not sure what this is. potentially related to the html editor?
hit code button: this one i know.

sorry. I mean the html editor (last button at right), and yes insert is a button in the editor.
