Why are all my .pde Processing Files defaulting to Arduino files and how do I stop it?

All my Processing files on my Mac 10.6 OS are defaulting to Arduino when I save them. How can I stop this and have them default back to .pde files? It is so weird. Only by transferring them to a PC can I get them to save a .pde files.

Do you mean when you double-click/Cmd-O an item, it opens in Arduino instead of Processing?

If so, this is an OS thing... right click on your .pde file, and choose "Get Info" (or choose "Get Info" from the "File" menu). You'll see a "Open With" tab (if necessary, click the gray triangle to maximise it). Make sure this says "Processing.app" instead of "Arduino.app". Then you can hit the button "Change All" to make the OS always open .pde files with Processing.

If you want only certain .pde's to open in Arduino or Processing, you can specify them individually.

You are absolutely right, and I asked two professionals and they were stumped. It worked. I have no idea why it changed to Arduino mid-stream, but it did. However now it works fine and the files open as Processing.
