Followed the information here to get it to work. I needed to add the 'core.jar' library to my build before exporting the edited jar file.

I'm looking to edit a jar file included with a third party library. I believe I need to add the file as part of a new project in an IDE like eclipse. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I might look for a quick tutorial on this process?

I simply want to edit a few things regarding display in the library...

It is not possible to edit a jar file directly. The solution is to edit the source code and rebuild the library.

What library are you trying to edit and what changes do you want to do?

If the library is hosted on GoogleCode or similar then there is normally a place where you can add an Issue requesting a new feature which the library creator might include in the next release. You might try doing that.
