Where are the examples stored locally?

Hello,

I am working for the first time with processing.

Trying out some examples. I I open them they are read only right?

Where are they storedin the first place?

I am looking at example step_08c_graphviz, and especially the data used in this example...

I would like to replace that data with my own ...

ok let me answer my own question, bit silly but if you save the example in your sketch directory, the data belonging to the project comes also saved into the data folder ....

Depends what OS you are on, but they are usually bundled with the Application.

On OS X , this would be 'inside' the application package > Processing.app > CTRL-Click > 'Show Package Contents' > Contents > Resources > Java > Modes > Java > Examples ...

On Windows and Linux, I believe they are in the Processing folder where your executable lies...

As another hint, you can always press Ctrl-K or go to the Sketch menu and select 'Show Sketch Folder' and it will open up the enclosing folder...
