Visualisation methods for human sciences - Clinical Psychology

Hello everyone.

My name is André Gil and I'm doing my PHD in Clinical Psychology.

My question is: I'm trying to create a visual representation of mental architecture. I would like to create visual methafors about neurotic, borderline and psicotic structures. Does anybody knows about some method of visualization that can help me doing this? Or a book or a person?

How about creating a 3D point cloud of a brain model. Associate different groups of the brain (3d structures) to different sets of 3D dots. make them transparent or colorize them to a legend.

3D point cloud shaped like human head (you can possibly use a 3D program to get 3D brain cloud dots):

imagine comparing different brain disorders by looking at their 3D physical intersections to see which ones are related to each other.
