using processing as a java compiler??

is it possible to use processing to compile java?i am asking this since the current process of compiling java is very tiring and processin allows for a user friendly interface.if it is not possible,please suggest alternatives.thanks in advance.

Alternatives: Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA (big IDEs), DrJava, BlueJ, and so on.

No, Processing doesn't really allow to compile real Java code, but a variant of it.
The first three alternatives are quite big, but they allow debugging, which is a nice thing.
