Using For loops

Hey all,

Completely new to this forum, first time posting. Currently working on some homework for my course and i've finished the first 3 tasks. The next task however is to write a script that draws an image to the canvas 10 times, each time it's drawn getting smaller by 10%. I'm not in the slightest confident with for loops and has hoping for a nudge in the right direction!

For homework (and in general), it is better to show at least one attempt at solving the problem.
You have lot of examples of using a for loop, starting at the reference page itself, so it is hard to tell what is stopping you.

something like this logic:

for (declare and initialize a variable ; while some condition; do this to this variable)

{

here you can call anything using or not the var declared above;

it will execute once for each value of your var until condition meets

}

hummm, a practical example

for(int i = 0; i < 100; i++)

{

println(i);

println(10+i);

println("i'm not changing");

//here the var will be tested, if yet smaller than 100

//it will be incremented and the lines above will be executed again with the new value;

}

Ahhh thank you,

just been toying around with it getting several errors as i try to edit certain aspects, will post again with any progress I make today!

Okay so i've made progress, it's working almost perfectly, only issue being that it wont stop running, i.e the image will continue to load even after 10 times. Any help?

Forget it!

Don't know why I was trying to use setup and draw, works fine with these removed, thanks for the help!
