Do you read the midi message directly from processing ? with the midi bus or similar library, trough jack?  or you go trough pureData ?

In this case it's just the simplest route directly to processing using the midibus.

I can record the midi in ableton live, so I can render sound from it later. Or possibly send the same sequence to processing again at a later time via midiyoke + midibus. But haven't really tried that.
