Ultrasonic Range Finder - Maxbotix LV-EZ1 and serial ascii to decimal???

Hi
I have got my Ultrasonic transceiver Maxbotix LV-EZ1, and the datasheet says that :
the TX output delivers
asynchronous serial with an RS232 format, except voltages are 0-
Vcc. The output is an ASCII capital “R”, followed by three ASCII
character digits representing the range in inches up to a maximum
of 255, followed by a carriage return (ASCII 13).
Ok the thing is that i want to convert the ascii in to some readeable in processing, lets say that i want to pressent the sent value(0-255) in the processing window.... How do i receive and convert the ascii from my Arduino(LV-EZ1) in processing??
