Twitter4j Library: Processing is not recognizing the library

Hello,

Sketch > Import Library is not displaying the twitter4j library. What am I doing incorrectly?

Here are the steps I have taken:

1) unzip the twitter4j-224.zip

2) move the unzipped folder to Processing > libraries

3) rename the folder "twitter4j-2.2.4" to "twitter4j224"

4) place all contents of the "twitter4j224" folder into a folder called "library", which is inside the "twitter4j224" folder

5) rename "twitter4j-core-2.2.4.jar" in the "lib" folder to "twitter4j224.jar", and move the file to the main contents area

Sounds OK, except I don't get the " move the file to the main contents area". What do you mean by that? The jar must be in libraries/twitter4j224/library
And you must restart Processing.

So deleted the library and started fresh. I followed the following steps:

1) unzip the twitter4j-224.zip

2) move the unzipped folder to Processing > libraries

3) rename the folder "twitter4j-2.2.4" to "twitter4j224"

4) place all contents of the "twitter4j224" folder into a folder called "library", which is inside the "twitter4j224" folder

Currently there is not a .jar file sitting in the library. What .jar file do I have to move there?

Previously, I moved "twitter4j-core-2.2.4.jar" from the "lib" folder, renamed it "twitter4jcore224.jar", and moved it into the "library" folder. This did not work either.

I'm having similar problem...

I've tried dragging the core jar file on to the sketch, renaming the files as evan_e did and still having problems.

I get an 'unexpected token' error

what am I doing wrong???

I'm running 2.2.5 though and Processing 1.2.1

Probably unrelated to library issues, it is just a syntax error.

I have the same problem. I have Processing 1.5.1 and twitter4j-2.2.5.zip.

Can someone explain better this point:

I had the same problem and eventually I figured it out. Here's my small but crucial add-on to the action list:

1) unzip the twitter4j-224.zip

2) move the unzipped folder to Processing > libraries

3) rename the folder "twitter4j-2.2.4" to "twitter4j224"

4) place all contents of the "twitter4j224" folder into a folder called "library", which is inside the "twitter4j224" folder

5) rename "twitter4j-core-2.2.6.jar" in the "library" folder to "twitter4j224.jar". This file was initially in the "lib" folder, in 4. step we moved it to a folder called library and now we're just modifying it's name. This was our final step and now shut down processing if it's still running and relaunch it. Voila!
