TUIO point distance?

I need to get the

TuioPoint.getDistance(float xp, float yp)

can anyone help me with the correct syntax for that? http://www.tuio.org/?java because I'm having some problem writing the correct syntax and accessing that value....

That is the syntax.. minus the floats as you'll define xp and yp earlier in the program. I've never used that library, but it should be something like this.

float xp = 5.0;
float yp = 2.0;
TuioPoint tp = new TuioPoint();
tp.getDistance(xp,yp);

thanks so much for that verification jeff_g

i realized i could also use TuioObject.getDistance as that inherits from TuioPoint, but i feel like i get so lost with so much of this it really helps to get some back-up

been up all night trying to finish this for an installation i want to do (soon) and it seems further away all the time, right now struggling with a boolean issue so i guess i'm going to have to ask that one next...
