Note: an XML file must have only one root: <baseTag> stuff </baseTag>
<baseTag1> stuff </baseTag1> <baseTag2> stuff </baseTag2> is illegal, but you can wrap the whole in a "super-base-tag".

Where do you see <name = "name"> in the code you show?
I suggest to read a tutorial on XML, explaining the difference between tags and attributes, etc.

I feel like there is miscommunication occurring between us... but this is what I meant by <name = "name">... [ it is bolded ]

I mean- I could also say <text = "text> or <string = "string"> because I do not know what is the precise vocabulary to use here ... so I apologize for my lack of precision on my part. I understand this code and what is going on in it. I just wanted to learn from my mistakes- have someone "correct" my .xml file, which I do not believe is asking much considering its size.

Again, to learn from your mistakes, you should read a good, simple introductory tutorial on XML.
It is hard to "correct" your XML, because we don't know the meaning of your numbers, and there are several ways to put data in an XML file: as attribute, as text, etc.
I "fixed" the start of your file, but you can change the names of the attributes ('id' here, but perhaps these are totals?), choose to put the values of file extensions in attributes (the tags must be self-closing then), etc.
