trouble with fonts and pdf export

Hi all,

I'm trying to import a # (sharp) sign using createFont for use in music notation. Everything worked great when I used loadFont but now when I try to import with createFont for export with PDF export it tells me that I can't use the Font Maestro or Opus or actually any of the other fonts that I have tried.

Can anyone offer any advice on this?

Hi,
I'm not sure this is related to the sharp character.
I think any font showing by :

import processing.pdf.*;
println(PGraphicsPDF.listFonts());

Should work with the PDF renderer.
Could you try that code replacing Arial by the font u're using and let us know ?

truetype fonts have an embedding license level built into them, so odds are you're trying to embed a commercial font that just doesn't allow that use - here's a tool you can use to determine the embedding license level of a particular font
