Transparent png24 with multiple shadow

hi everyone,

is there a way to import pngs with transparency and multilevel alpha shadows?

When i load them with the normal method the shadow is not rendered properly.

You may need to elaborate on that. I just tested a png with a gradient shadow and it worked fine. Could possibly be an issue with the graphics mode you're using; but then again it might just be an issue with the image itself.

hmmm....

when i open the image in PS it looks fine and the picture itself is located in the sketchbook folder - already

read your article before :-)

which graphics mode u r using?

i am stuck with that:

PImage b;
void setup() {
size(110, 110);
smooth();
background(255);
b = loadImage("Logo_random.png");
}
void draw() {
image(b, 0, 0);
}

Try:

void draw() {
background(255); // clear the background before re-drawing the image!
image(b, 0, 0);
}

If you don't clear the background each frame you're effectively layering the image over and over on top of itself...
