How can I draw the transparent, overlapping circles like I see above here on the website? Using an alpha value doesn't seem to work.

It should work, and we'll be happy to explain where you went wrong when you post a non-working example.

Aha. I figured it out. Using noLoop() did the trick. Without it, the drawing was loosing the transparency.

Or use background() at the start of draw()...
