Tracking with kinect

Hello
How can I track more people with kinect. Is it possible? And how is this done?
I wish to track their feet and their stepping action. When one or more people step on my pictures projected on the floor I want the kinect to register this and then tell my processing code to make the picture disappear. ( I have the code and it works fine with the mouse. How can I do this?
Will I need to use a webcamera as well for tracking?
