Toxiclibs | 'Rigidity' or 'stiffness' of a Particle String

Hi there,
I'm slowly familiarizing myself with Toxiclibs verlet physics - in particular the particle string as demonstrated in the helpful example 'draggable particles'.
http://www.openprocessing.org/sketch/9671
I've been looking for a way to vary the 'stiffness' or 'rigidity' for sometime now without any avail.
By stiffness/rigidity i dont mean the 'elasticity' but the ability to vary somewhere between a string/necklace (what is now) and a rod/stick.
I would imagine this is a pretty common request but haven't been able to find any examples or further information (within or outside of toxiclibs )
Could someone please point me in the right direction?
Cheers!
