Hi Guys,

Im teaching a workshop right now, and I want to show my participants how great this forum is and how quickly everyone helps!

Bump this topic if you theoretically would have answered my question.

Proof of concept: it also shows how quickly a topic is moved from the wrong category to the right one (from Programming Questions to General Discussion...)

I know your message is supposed to be a programming question, but I take the opportunity to adjure newcomers to read the forum descriptions and to follow them!

I would have tried my best :) I'm certainly no phi.lho, so you might not have gotten much from it, but I would contribute!

phi.lho has already answered your question, provided you with a link to a working example, or suggested further research for you to read already at this point, however, so whatever I have to say is of little help.

I don't (and can't) answer to all questions! (just half of them...)
Fortunately, there are lot of knowledgeable and helpful people here, so a question remains rarely unanswered.
When that's the case, it might be because it is too vague, asking for something impossible or very hard to do, or too specialized (about hardware no one else has, for example). User can bump up a topic (post an message in the same thread) to bring attention, hopefully with more precise information.

Many of us are more inclined to help if you show what you've managed so far, as it shows that you're not just expecting us to do your homework, and it shows us how you're tackling the particular problem (we all do so differently).

We also had an informal bet that phi.lho would have been the first to answer!

I realize this may come off as rude, but i'd like to put this test to the test...

Unfortunately i haven't had any feedback on my issue yet. I truly am trying to figure it out for myself, but would appreciate any possible ideas and solutions i may have not thought of yet.

Indeed, it is in the verge of hijacking a thread, but given the apologies and nature of this thread, it is OK...

Beside, it is an illustration of what I wrote above: it falls in the category of "hardware/system dependent": I can't help as I don't have a Mac, others might have, but with a different OSX version, or different version of Java, etc. I suppose most people have no problem with Processing on Mac, hence the lack of reactions, as we wonder what is going on.

Note: even on Windows, we see flicker on the online examples of Processing.org, not sure why.

I might have theoretically answered your question with another question and then put smileys everywhere, maybe as a new form of ASCII art, and then ended my post with my full page glittering kitty signature.
