Testing to see if applets are applets.

I am making a simple plugin for Concret5 that would allow concret users to upload applets to their site by selecting a applet.zip file.

The plugin is almost finished and I was starting to write the test file for uploaded zips. I realized that this might be floating around from the creation of the OpenProcessing web site.

Can any one share the php script to test uploaded zip files to see if they are Processing applets? I will make my version but I know it will pail compared to the original.

Well, I am not sure what level you want to test...
First level: ensure there is a .jar file in the zip file.
Second level: ensure the jar file can be opened as a zip file and check that it has at least a <same name as jar>.class, a 'processing' directory, with a 'core' sub-directory and at least a PApplet.class file in it.
Third level, if you are paranoid: ensure the class in the .class file extends PApplet. No idea how to do this in PHP... Would need to examine bytecode, probably.

I like the idea of checking to see if it extends PApplet thats about as paranoid as I am going to get. Thank you I would not have thought of that on my own.
