I am trying to build an arduino based wireless device that sends serial data into processing.

I bought a Bluetooth Mate Gold which was the more expensive bluetooth device I could ind thinking it might make the chances o it workineg right o the bat a bit better.... so ar it seems to connect but have not been able to read serial data through it.  My sketch transmits fine and I can see it when I connect with a USB cable...

 

Is there a better approach to getting data into processing

 

My requirements are small since I dont need a high baud rate and I only need 4 feet o range...

 

what I do need is something that will be reliable and achieve a connection everytime without user interaction...

 

Any suggestions?

 

as or price I can do up to $100 per unit (rec & transmitter  combined)
