store tweets offline and export csv

Hi all!

I am looking for a way to look for specific tweets from a limited geographical region, store them in a database and export a .csv or .xml file...to perform some basic data analysis and visualize stuff with Processing... anybody who can help?

Hi phi.lo!

At this time tweets are stored in an .xls file that I didn't export myself. So what is missing is a way to look for and store tweets from a particular geographic area, store them offline and export them in a way that i could use them with processing!

Hi Paolo, I don't know if you are still looking for a solurtion, but here's three of links of resources I found while working on something similar (retrieving tweets with some kind of geographical information). I hope it helps somehow.

Good tutorial on how to use twitter4j (a java library) in processing.

Twitter4j and Geo Locations discussion in the forum.

And I used this to import from a .csv file to processing
