hi,

can anyone show me how to tweak spacejunk example so that it displays spheres rather than cubes..have had a go, but no joy yet..

replace the custom drawCube function with the sphere() function of procesing...
and use translate in combination with shiftX,shiftY,shiftZ to place the sphere as well as w or h or d for the size....

thanks, tried that but not sure how to implement, I have tried changing cubes to spheres as attached below. any tips on what i'm still getting wrong? Do i need to change length for radius as well?

like this for example. I also added sphereDetail and changed it to 10 to lower the resolution of the spheres. Change that depending on the number of spheres and speed of your machine... less detail runs faster.

cool, looks great, thanks. one more thing trying to remove random size of spheres, so that they are all one radius, can you show me how to achieve this?

Take a look in setup() where you setup the spheres.

as fiveagon said. its the "int(random(2, 20)" part... just put in any value you want

ok cool, have changed size and location. how about being able to pan around the screen so you can select a certain part to zoom in on- anyone help with this?

maybe you should start to actually learn how to read and change the code yourself.

for easy panning and zooming i can recommend the peasy cam library
