i had this question for a while but then I found the answer from a very recent post made by the maker of laemae.

I'll have a look into that. Ideally, I would like to use synthesis rather than samples. Do you know if this is possible? As far as I know, Supercollider for android is not yet compatible with Processing for android so I'm trying to find another route. For the project I'm currently working on, samples may suffice but synthesis would be ideal.

I built a little "Bloom" like android/processing app using Rikard's apwidgets library, specifically utilising the APMediaPlayer class:

It is a very simple app that I built just to test the water. Tap to create a sphere, hold the spheres down and they will grow, drag them together and they bunch, release and they drift apart - all accompanied by some of my Brian eno-esque ambient noodling. It has a few bugs but should give you an idea of what is possible with Rikards neat library.

Haha that's rather uncanny. I am doing exactly the same thing. My app is based on 'Bloom' and is also to test the water. It's my first processing project.

I want to use notes that directly correlate to the position of where the screen is touched ie. pitch on the x axis. It seems like I may have to use samples assigned to sections of the screen rather than synthesis.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please do let me know.

P.s sijroberts, great app. I like the colours and the the way the spheres float around the screen.
