Hello everyone,

I am looking for a library or anything that helps me with smile recognition with Processing.

I wanted to do this:

http://fffff.at/auto-smiley/

but not with open Frameworks. is it possible to use Processing for this?

Hi Dore,

I think OpenCV could help, you can find two library (on that only work on PC) in the processing libraries section.
This paper could give you some useful tips too.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

I have installed both libraries before and the really do a good job on face recognition and the blobs. But they don't have anything directed related to the smile itself.

The article is awesome! It really helps the way to think the programming for that.

In the OpenFrameworks there is a library called mpi that solved all my problems there. But this library seems strictly C++.

I think you can train OpenCV to recognise other "shapes".
That's not an area i've experimented with however.
Might not be precise enough at smile recognition but worth a try:

Ah finally found that the library is called MPT ( The Machine Perception Toolbox) which yes is C++.
However it's open source, sounds interesting to develop a java or processing library.
