Simulate Mouse and Keyboard Input

Hello,

Is there a way to simulate mouse and keyboard input using processing?

For example, once the program is run, the mouse would automatically go double-click my firefox shortcut, and then type my username and password into the gmail login screen.

More or less, but Processing is the wrong tool for that...
On Windows, you have automation tools like AutoHotkey, AutoIt. On Mac, you should use AppleScript, perhaps. There are also automation plugins for Firefox (and probably other browsers).

Thanks for the feedback, I heard about Processing from a friend, and the example programs kinda got me hooked on how cool it is. But I couldn't find any way to control the mouse & keyboard in the docs, which I have always found amusing. I have used AutoIt in the past and I remember it being quite good. So I will go back to that for projects that require simulating user input.

You can use Robot java class

This class is used to generate native system input events for the purposes of test automation, self-running demos, and other applications where control of the mouse and keyboard is needed. The primary purpose of Robot is to facilitate automated testing of Java platform implementations.

Yes, but the tools I mention are more flexible: with Robot, you click on one coordinate, while the tools can click on a button given by its name, its ID, identify windows and act on them, etc.
