You need to have a draw function, even if there is nothing in it, in order for the program to loop.
So add draw() { } at the end of your code, and it should work.

Thanks for your reply!

It is still not working..I added void draw() {} at then end. Now when I run the sketch something makes the window not respond cause I cannot close it

What version of Processing are you using?
I believe it should work in 1.5.1...
Well, then add background(0); in draw. I think it needs to execute something in order for that to work.

You can have an error message in the console if you don't have the images in the data folder.

Tadaa! I guess this is what you want, the screen will be empty at star though you can change it by adding d = loadImage("lin.jpg"); in the setup

Thanks so much for your help! Still the image does not show

it highlights - image(d, 0, 0);

and says NullPointerException

d = loadImage("links.jpg");

isLoaded = true;

}

}

void draw() {

if(isLoaded)image(d, 0, 0);

}

I assumed that you wanted the program to start without anything on the screen so I added a booleann called isLoaded which is set to true when you press a key, in the draw() function the code checks if any key was pressed and the image loads

If any errors persist, revert to the old code and add d = loadImage("links.jpg"); in the setup and post the error here

Have you checked file's names? remeber Processing is case sensitive.
